Amusing stuff from Jones, Maltese and Noble
The Tender Game by John and Faith Hubley
Everything about this film is beautiful. The Character animation is free from cliche too. I love it dearly.
Wipeout HD

Check out WipeoutHD. The soundtrack alone (player located top-right corner of the site) is a strong indication of how aweome this game is gonna be. The site also features fly through videos of several race tracks, detailed info on teams, weapons and game modes - building the anticipation even further. The use of striking graphic design throughout harks back to the best titles in the wipeout series (i.e. original, XL, 3), this is a must-have PSN title for me. Cannot wait, proper excited.

Here's a rare thing. An ad that is actually good. It's also a fantastic example of an advert that can only be effective when viewed in the online space - meaning, if this was on TV, I would have tuned out or voluntarily distracted myself within the first 2 seconds. Possibly even left the room to do something else "in the ad break". But because it's a youtube clip, and been forwarded to me by someone I know, from the get-go I feel I have it on good authority to pay attention. Paying attention to an ad? A truly viral one? A rare thing indeed.
Eddie Hazel solo
Eddie Hazel solo from a funkadelic gig in '79. One seriously funky dude.
Now Hear This
Tripped-out masterpiece with strong, serious themes and a surreal off-beat sense of humour. What else, from the genius director Chuck Jones.
Jim Henson's Time Piece
Magnificent short film from Jim's very early days as a storyteller; showing all the promise, originality, wonder and cinematic magic his later work has in abundance. His unique sensibilities as an entertainer at their most raw, pure and as always, routed firmly in truth.
kap10kurt video
TheNotQuiteFool hipped me to this funky vid. It features several moments of visual splendor in the form of tastefully designed 80's-esque inspired aesthetics. With the 'tude kept to a minimum and cel shading used to pretty decent effect, the varying animation quality is forgivable. I can look past the overtly anime-referential human characters, as the video makes up for that in overall style and just sheer OTT energetic fun. Oh, and the Kap10Kurt track is awesome too. Enjoy!
The Little Island
Richard Williams' first animated short film. So much of what he's got going on in this short re-affirms that the guy is a genius. I have yet to find something he's produced that hasn't blown my mind in one way or another. I just wish he'd show us some of the stuff he's done in the past couple of decades up in his studio in Wales...
Enjoy this thing of beauty, The Little Island.
